This took place back in the late 90's at our old house on the other side of town. My husband had went outside sometime after 8pm to run the dogs. It wasn't dark yet, this was late spring/early summer. When he went out he saw a creature standing across the road by the trees, next to the swamp.

The unknown creature stood at 8- 9 feet tall, and weighed probably around 300 pounds. His face resembled that of a wolf. The fur was silver and white. His hair was very nicely combed. His nose was black, and the eyes were blue, like an LED light. He was clothed in a fine black suit. The suit coat was long, not short. It was standing looking away at first, but when my husband noticed it, it turned and looked at him. He said when they locked gazes he felt as if it knew exactly what he was thinking. (Which was shoot it.) He thought it was very pretty, and yes he said pretty! lol

He quickly got the dogs back in the house and told me to grab his 30.06. I’m not a fan of shooting things that are not attacking, so I told him no. I wouldn’t even let him go back out for a few minutes until I was sure whatever it was had left. By the time he went back out it was gone. The dogs were sniffing around the gravel where it had stood, but they didn’t pick up scent to trail it. It just vanished, so it seemed.

When I was writing this out for you all and asking my husband for the details, he said our daughter had seen the creature too after that. We never told the kids what he had seen. They were pretty little at the time and the last thing we wanted was to scare the diapers off them. I’ll ask for her recollection when she gets time to talk to me.
